Health Care Assistant (Bank)
Location – Gloucestershire
Basic hourly rate – £13.73
Weekend hourly rate – £15.11
Bank Holiday hourly rate – £16.48
Hours – Bank hours
Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant looking for additional bank hours, working in our friendly Hospice at Home team? The Hospice at Home team provides care for patients with any life-limiting condition in their own homes. Support can be provided throughout a 24hr period, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our amazing team provide quality specialist palliative care by addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of patients and their carer’s.
Ideally you have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of working as a Health Care Assistant professional, providing support to frail/ infirm clients or people with life-limiting illnesses
- Evidence of working independently without direct supervision
- Experience of patient care in a community/ care home/ hospital setting
- Experience of caring for patients with a range of life-limiting illnesses would be desirable
- Commitment to undertake training as appropriate for the role i.e. basic life support, manual handling, medicines management etc

The position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, Occupational Health disclosure and references. Travel is an essential component of the role; therefore, you will need to have a full driving licence and be a car owner.
