Are you a skilled Complementary Therapist looking to use your talents to support people in need? At Longfield Hospice, we believe in enhancing the wellbeing of those living with life-limiting illnesses, their carers, and those who have been bereaved. As a Complementary Therapy Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in bringing comfort, relaxation, and relief to those who need it most.
In this role, you’ll provide massage, aromatherapy massage, reflexology, or Reiki to outpatients, tailoring treatments to meet individual needs. Sessions range from 10 to 45 minutes and focus on light-touch, client-centered care. You’ll be part of a supportive, compassionate team, working closely with clinical professionals to deliver holistic care. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, offering relief and emotional support to patients and families.
We’re looking for a qualified therapist with hands-on experience, a compassionate and adaptable approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll need to be open to learning and committed to undertaking training to adapt therapies for people with life-limiting conditions. In return, you’ll gain valuable experience in a professional hospice setting, benefit from ongoing skills development, and become part of a dedicated volunteer community.
With a minimum commitment of just one morning or afternoon per fortnight, plus team meetings and training, this role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful difference. If you’re ready to use your skills to support others in a truly rewarding way, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help bring comfort and care to those who need it most.
