Terms & Conditions
REGISTRATIONS
1. All main bookers must complete a registration form online with payment for the correct registration fee. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to complete a registration online via please email

2. This event is open to all ages
3. Children aged 16 years and under must take part alongside a paying adult and be accompanied throughout the event. School and youth groups who take part must have adequate supervision.
4. Registration fees largely cover the cost of putting on the event, so we encourage you to raise sponsorship or donate to help make a real difference to our patients and families. Please set up a JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/walkforlongfield2025 Please email
[email protected] if you require a paper sponsorship form and we will post one out to you, or if you would like a fundraising bucket or tin to raise money in your workplace or local business. We ask that any sponsorship money be returned to Fundraising, Longfield, Burleigh Lane, Minchinhampton. GL5 2PQ within 6 weeks of the event or paid in online at www.longfield.org.uk/donate. We advise against sending cash through the post
EVENT DETAILS
1. Walk For Longfield is a 10k or 5k walk across common land near to Longfield Community Hospice.
2. The walk is self-guided and accessible to all, the majority is across grasslands.
3. The event starts and ends at the grounds of Longfield where entertainment, food and drink will round off the event.
4. On the day of the event, all participants must register between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
5. Depending on numbers we may stagger runners and walkers to avoid congestion on the course.
6. Any participant under the age of 16 must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian. We take no responsibility for lost children.
SAFETY
1. This is not a competitive race, and the terrain will be a mixture of grassland and paths. Please run, jog or walk to suit your fitness level and capability, there is no rush.
2. Please abide by any instructions given by staff or volunteers for your own safety, or that of other participants and spectators.
3. Dogs are welcome but must be always kept on a lead, please pick up and mess and dispose of. Dogs are not allowed inside the hospice building.
4. If you are unable to complete the course or feel unwell at any point, please inform a staff member or volunteer to get assistance.
5. Walk For Longfield involves a level of sustained physical activity. Participants make the decision to take part and must be satisfied that this activity is suitable for them as individuals. Neither Longfield Community Hospice nor its affiliates can be held accountable for aggravation to illness or injury sustained due to participation in this activity. Participants are recommended to seek advice from their medical practitioner/GP prior to taking part in this event and make provisions to ensure their safe participation. First aid provision will be available during the event.
6. At the end of the course participants must be signed back in.
7. Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing and walking boots for the event.
8. Refreshments will be provided to purchase. We advise you bring a refillable water bottle to fill up with water on the route. We will NOT be providing water bottles, in support of trying to cut back on the use of plastics. Alcohol or drugs are not permitted.
9. By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during the event to be used to publicise or report on the Run the Rainbow and Longfield Community Hospice coverage. Should special dispensation be required, it is the responsibility of the participants to inform Longfield Community Hospice of such requirements.
10. Longfield Hospice has the right to cancel this event if there are any concerns to participants’ safety.
11. Longfield Community Hospice reserves the right to update its terms and conditions in relation to this event at any time prior to the event. All participants will be provided with any updated terms and conditions in advance of the event or on the day of the event.
