Encourage Funeral donations in lieu of flowers

Donations in lieu of flowers serve as a meaningful tribute to your loved one while supporting the vital work of Longfield Community Hospice, enabling us to assist individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses and bereavement here in Gloucestershire.

We understand that planning a funeral can be a difficult time, so we are on hand to help facilitate the process on the day.

To make the process as straightforward as possible, we can provide your funeral director with our in-memoriam envelopes. Please call the Fundraising Team on 01453 886868 for further information and support. Your funeral director can then collect the donations for you and send them directly to the hospice. Please remember that any cheques should be made payable to ‘Longfield.’

Online Tribute Page:

You can create an online Memory Box Tribute Fund where friends and family can donate in memory of your loved one. This provides a convenient way for people to contribute and share their condolences.

Giving envelopes/QR donation code:

You have the option to have giving envelopes, which can be distributed at the funeral service. These envelopes not only facilitate donations but also enable Longfield Community Hospice to claim Gift Aid, increasing the value of each donation.

Alternatively, we can provide you with a QR code which can be used on the order of service so donations can be made directly to our dedicated In Memory donation page on our website which can also claim Gift Aid on donations.

Collection buckets:

Alternatively, you can request collection buckets to be used during the funeral proceedings/gathering. This allows attendees to contribute directly on the day of the service.

Funeral Director Assistance:

Some funeral directors offer the service of collecting donations on behalf of the family and forwarding them directly to the hospice. You can enquire with your funeral director about this option.

To discuss any of these options you can reach out to the fundraising team at Longfield Community Hospice by calling 01453 886868 or by emailing Becky at [email protected]
