Can you give the gift of time?
At Longfield, time is at the heart of everything we do and with your support, we can continue giving families the gift of time when it matters most.
Your donation helps us provide comfort and support to patients and their loved ones. You’re giving them time to come to terms with a difficult diagnosis through counselling and emotional support. You’re giving them time to enjoy quality moments together through our wellbeing sessions and activities. And, when it’s needed most, you’re giving them time at home with our Hospice at Home team, ensuring those final moments are spent in the comfort of familiar surroundings.

The time we provide is priceless to our families
“I think we both recognised how lucky we were to have the carers coming in because it gave us an opportunity to carry on living as a normal couple in our own space with our own things around us, doing what we wanted to do, because you just can’t have that in a hospital or a hospice, however good they are, because one person’s in a bed, and the other person’s in a chair.” Penny and her husband Nigel received Hospice at Home care. “Everybody at some point will need a Longfield, and if we don’t support it, there won’t be a Longfield to go to.”
We can’t provide this precious time without your support
Longfield relies on the generosity of people like you for 89% of our funding—a vital £4.4 million every year. Each visit by our Hospice at Home team costs £66, and these visits—three times a day—are essential for both patients and carers. Our staff visit in teams of two, ensuring they can provide dedicated time to both the patient and their loved ones, giving them the attention and care they need.
