The death of someone we love is one of the hardest things we may face. It’s common to experience a roller coaster of emotions including sorrow, anger and relief.

Practising meditation and mindfulness can help us through the immediate shockwaves of grief and encourage long term healing.

Calm connections is an inspiring new course from Longfield Hospice which introduces individuals to the practice of meditation and mindfulness. It offers participants a holistic way to self-care.

Date:- Every Thursday 8thMay-29th May 2025

Time:-10am – 11.30am

Location:-Longfield Hospice

Cost:-Free or donations to Hospice welcome

Try our relaxing mini meditation, led by Claire, Bereavement Counsellor and Calm Connections facilitator.

The course is open to individuals who have been bereaved for more than 8 weeks, who are over 18 and registered with a GP in Gloucestershire. Participants must commit to all four sessions. Meditation is seated.


This service is free of charge if you are living with a life-limiting condition or are a family member, loved one/carer or bereaved of an individual who had a life-limiting condition. To access our services, you, a family member, a loved one/carer or a healthcare professional can put in a referral by:
