Here’s our top 5 fundraising tips:

  1. Share the load

Planning an event should be fun – not a chore. Friends, family and work colleagues will all have stacks of ideas so get them involved! It’s more enjoyable when it isn’t all resting on your shoulders.

  1. Tie-up legalities

Do you know the legal in’s-and-out’s around your idea? If not, it’s worth checking you’re compliant on the Government website or the Fundraising Regulator.

  1. Check your dates

To guarantee that people are free to come along, double check that your fundraising event doesn’t clash with important dates, such as school breaks or public holidays.

  1. Cut your costs

We can share tips and tricks for keeping a lean budget when running a fundraising event. We’ll also give you insights on how much certain types of events cost – just ask.

  1. Give lots of notice

Promote your fundraising event with as much notice as possible and keep promoting right up until the day itself. Use all promotion options available, including social media, to spread the word.
