Longfield Community Hospice will be hosting an evening walk at 5.30pm on Friday 21st June 2024 and is inviting people to sign up for the perfect family evening out.

The Walk for Longfield returns for 2024, back in its traditional spot of the summer solstice. The walk will offer a choice of 5 or 10K circular routes across Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons , with all walkers setting off from Longfield’s Wellbeing Centre in Minchinhampton between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Bring along friends and family to enjoy live music, home cooked food, bar and garden games too. This is a great family event for adults, children and pets too – dogs welcome (outside only). Even if you are not walking you can come and have fun too. The difference from previous years events is walkers can choose whether to enjoy the walk, come to Longfield just for food, or both! Food includes burger (meat or vegetarian), Pimms and a pud. For children a burger, pud and soft drink will be provided.

David Levick, Events Co-ordinator from Longfield said:

“We are delighted to see the return of one of our favourite events to its rightful spot, with stunning midsummer evening views across the beautiful landscape surrounding our wellbeing centre. It’s a great way of supporting your local hospice and spending quality time with friends and family in the local countryside.”

“This has been a popular event in the past, so we’d urge you to register now and be part of a fun evening. All money raised will help fund Longfield’s vital work providing care for adults in Gloucestershire with life-limiting conditions and support for their families and carers.’’

Why not join us and be assured, whether you chose to make a donation when you sign up for the event, choose to raise sponsorship or just register for the event, you will be helping people at a time they need Longfield the most. Every penny or pound given or will raise will help patients living with a life-limiting condition and, importantly, provide support for carers and loved ones too.
