Write a Will Month

Have you made your Will yet? Make October the month you do with Write a Will Month.

For one month only if you make a basic or mirror Will with one of our participating solicitors, they will waive their fees for a basic Will in return for a donation to Longfield. The suggested donation amount is £100 for a single basic Will and £150 for a pair of mirror Wills.

These funds help us deliver our free of charge Hospice at Home, Counselling, Living Well and Bereavement Services to individuals facing life-limiting conditions in Gloucestershire.

Why make or update a will

Making a Will gives you peace of mind that your wishes will be carried out and your loved ones are provided for. Without a Will, the law decides who inherits your estate — and this may not reflect what you would have wanted. A Will is especially important if you:

• Own property or have savings
• Have children or dependants
• Are unmarried but live with a partner
• Want to leave gifts to charity
• Have specific wishes for your funeral
• Want to appoint guardians for your children

A Will can also help reduce the inheritance tax your loved ones may have to pay.
