The Tetbury Community Choir is organising a night of music to raise money for Longfield Hospice on 25th May at Minchinhampton Church.
The choir comprising of 30 to 40 members, celebrates 15 years of bringing together residents from Tetbury and its surroundings for the sheer pleasure of singing under the guidance of Music Director David Kyle.
In a heartwarming gesture of support, the choir dedicates its upcoming concert, “A Life in Song,” to Longfield, an esteemed institution renowned for its compassionate care towards those nearing the end of life and their families. With a firm belief in Longfield’s mission, the choir endeavors to contribute to its continued growth through the funds raised from this event.
The concert promises an evening brimming with joyous melodies, punctuated by piano music and the recitation of poems and prose. Audiences can expect to be serenaded with uplifting tunes, including selections from the beloved musical “Les Miserables” and the soul-stirring “Locus Iste” by Bruckner.
Heidi Orton, from Longfield Fundraising Team said, ‘ We are thrilled that the Tetbury Choir have decided to support their local hospice. This evening is not just about the fantastic music, but it is about encouraging the audience to join in the singing, ensuring a memorable experience that leaves them humming catchy tunes and beaming with the joys of spring.’
