Longfield Hospice’s Run the Rainbow promises to be summer’s most colourful day out
Local charity, Longfield Community Hospice, is inviting people of all ages to celebrate life in full colour as its much-loved Run the Rainbow event returns to Frampton Court Estate on Saturday 4 July 2026.
Taking place from 11am to 3pm, the vibrant 5k challenge promises a day packed with colour, music, foam, inflatable obstacles and family fun, all while raising vital funds to support people in Gloucestershire with life-limiting conditions, and their families and loved ones too.
Participants are encouraged to start in their brightest whites before being transformed into human kaleidoscopes as they run, walk or skip their way around the course. Each kilometre brings a new experience, from powder paint explosions and frothy foam to energetic music zones designed to keep spirits high from start to finish.
The celebrations continue long after the finish line, with refreshments, music and extra colour cups available for friends and families to enjoy their own colour-throwing moments together.
The event is suitable for everyone aged four and above, making it the perfect summer activity for families, friends, community groups and colleagues looking to make memories while supporting an important local cause.
Registration includes entry to the 5k event, sunglasses, a pouch of powdered paint and a finisher’s medal.
Ticket prices are:
- Adult ticket – £15
- Child ticket (ages 4–16) – from £10
- Family ticket (up to four people – two adults and two children) – £45
Participants are also encouraged to raise sponsorship or to make a donation to help Longfield continue to care for and support families across Gloucestershire whose lives have been turned upside down by a devastating diagnosis.
Funds raised through Run the Rainbow will help the hospice support people living with life-limiting illnesses and ensure families receive compassionate care when they need it most.
