1. Entry 

· Entry is open to all dogs over 6 months old, subject to the organiser’s discretion. 

· Classes are entered on the day and are charged £2.50 per class. 

· You may enter as many classes as you wish. 

· All entry fees are non-refundable, including if you subsequently decide not to take part in a class. 

2. Responsibility for Dogs 

· All dogs always remain the responsibility of their owners/handlers. 

· Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead unless specifically instructed otherwise by the event organiser. 

· Owners must ensure their dogs are suitably socialised and safe to be around other dogs and people. 

· Please do not bring dogs that are unwell or showing signs of contagious illness. 

· Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please use the bins provided. 

3. Children 

· Children taking part must be always supervised by a responsible adult. 

· Parents/guardians remain responsible for children attending the event. 

4. Judging 

· Classes will be judged by our appointed judges. 

· The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding judging decisions. 

· The show is intended purely for fun and is not affiliated with or run under Kennel Club competition rules. 

· Judges may refuse entry to, or remove from a class, any dog they believe is distressed, aggressive or unsuitable to participate. 

5. Dog Behaviour & Safety 

· Aggressive or excessively nervous dogs may be asked to leave the ring or event if the organiser considers this necessary for the safety of other dogs, owners, volunteers or spectators. 

· If your dog becomes distressed or uncomfortable, please remove them from the activity. 

· Dogs must never be left unattended in vehicles or in unsafe conditions. 

· Please be mindful that some dogs may be nervous around unfamiliar people, children or other dogs. 

6. Health & Vaccinations 

· By entering the Paws on the Lawn show, owners confirm that, to the best of their knowledge, their dog is fit and well enough to participate. 

· We recommend that dogs attending are appropriately vaccinated and protected against contagious diseases. 

7. Liability 

· The organisers, volunteers and event venue cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury, illness or damage caused by or to any dog, owner, handler or spectator, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded. 

· Owners are responsible for their own dogs and should ensure they have appropriate pet insurance. 

8. Photography & Video 

· Photography and video may take place during the event for promotional purposes, including social media and future fundraising activities. 

· By attending, you acknowledge that you or your dog may appear in photographs or video. 

· If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak to a member of the event team. 

9. Fundraising 

· Paws on the Lawn is being held to raise funds for Longfield Hospice. 

· All proceeds from the dog show will be donated to the nominated charity, subject to any reasonable event costs where applicable. 

10. Event Changes 

· The organisers reserve the right to amend classes, timings or arrangements if necessary. 

· In the event of extreme weather, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control, the organisers may postpone, cancel or alter the event.
