Steve will share the remarkable story of his life in the Creative Industry, from creating beloved characters remembered from childhood to the personal and professional highs and lows he has experienced along the way.

About Steve Allen 

Steve is a designer and model maker who has worked across some of the world’s most iconic film and television productions. He created merchandise designs and special display models for Star Wars, and created merchandise / design concepts for the The Jim Henson Company working on the pre-production stage of Labyrinth, designing merchandise and developing concepts for many of the film’s characters.

After becoming a freelance designer in 1985, Steve also worked on Doctor Who merchandise and toys, adding another iconic British production to his remarkable career.

Steve is appearing in Gloucestershire for one night only to raise funds for a charity that has come to mean a great deal to him in recent months.

For 47 years Steve was an artist whose work featured in some of the world’s most familiar shows but his life hasn’t been without its challenges. In this fascinating talk, which will feature some special muppet and puppet friends, Steve will reveal how he has faced an ongoing battle with stress disorder.  

He has agreed to give all proceeds from this special edition of his popular show Me, Models and Mayhem to Longfield Hospice who have supported his family.
