Will you fund the next knock?
We are appealing for your help. Every day, our nurses and healthcare assistants travel to homes across Gloucestershire. They knock on front doors, knowing that, behind each one, a family is facing the hardest times imaginable.
Our hospice care in the home is a vital community service – but it’s not guaranteed. When someone is approaching the end of their life, their need for care doesn’t always fit neatly around when statutory funding is agreed. Thankfully, support from incredible people like you means we don’t have to wait. Your generosity allows Longfield to say yes to people who need us – long before we find out whether funding is available.

Today, will you help us be there for another local family?
The difference you can make
Rich’s Story
We were already caring for Rich Tuck’s Mum three times a day when Rich became aware that funding problems might jeopardise that support. “I was in a blind panic,” he says. “I rang Longfield and was reassured that – funding or not – your nurses would keep coming. The relief was overwhelming.”
Why we are Appealing for your help
Donations from our supporters make up the majority of our Hospice at Home funding, with the rest coming from statutory funds and grants. Your donations through our appeals give Longfield greater freedom to respond when families need us, to provide visits where funding hasn’t yet been confirmed, and to care for longer if required.
Ultimately, your support gives local families the peace of mind that compassionate and expert hospice care is available today, tomorrow and whenever it’s needed.
